What to expect as a Senior Product Designer at Elastic Path?

As a Senior Product Designer at Elastic Path, you’ll play a key role in shaping the tools that merchandisers and technical users use to manage and customize their commerce experiences. You'll join a small, focused design team and work closely with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, QA, and customer success to deliver thoughtful, scalable design solutions.

This is a senior individual contributor role—not a people management role—but you’ll influence decisions within your team, guide best practices, and push forward the maturity of UX across the organization. You'll also have opportunities to explore and integrate AI tools into your design workflow, helping us move faster and smarter.

We are a fully remote team, collaborating across time zones through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous workflows. We value autonomy, clarity, and momentum. While we’re building on strong UX foundations, there’s still plenty of room to shape our design systems, rituals, and practices—this role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a builder’s mindset.

Location: This is a remote role based in Canada. Candidates are required to have valid work authorization and be located in Canada to be considered. Elastic Path is a Remote First employer, so you’ll always have the tools to work from wherever you are based.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX initiatives that improve our core platform experiences for merchandisers—through both new features and enhancements to existing ones
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering leads to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver high-impact designs
• Create design deliverables such as user flows, journey maps, wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and system diagrams
• Iterate quickly and thoughtfully, knowing that great design is achieved through continuous learning and refinement
• Engage with existing customers to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities through user research and feedback
• Champion best practices and help evolve design processes and tooling, including the use of AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, UX Pilot and Galileo AI
• Work in an Agile Scrum environment, contributing to every stage of the product lifecycle
  
  

What experience do you need to Be Remarkable in this position?

• 4–6 years of end-to-end product design experience
• Experience working in B2B SaaS and e-commerce is highly valued
• Strength in UX fundamentals—research, IA, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, testing, design systems
• Experience working collaboratively with product managers and engineers in cross-functional teams
• A user-centered mindset and a problem-solver’s mentality—you’re motivated by making things better for real people
• Proficiency in Figma, with a curiosity for exploring new tools and approaches, including AI-enhanced design workflows
• Strong communication skills—you can clearly explain your thinking and bring others along
• A desire to contribute to a growing design practice and shape how UX evolves within the organization
  
  

$92,000 - $132,000 a year

The base salary for this position is listed to support candidates to align themselves within the target salary range for the role. Our salary ranges are country specific and are based on national market data. Compensation is determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of each applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
