Concordia University in Montreal seeks a Senior Buyer to lead complex procurements across IT and other categories, ensuring compliant calls for tenders and supplier evaluations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement Services, you will supervise buyers, develop contracting strategies with university departments, and build vendor relationships while mitigating risk and maximizing value.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Administration with four to seven years of related work experience as a senior buyer/procurement professional.
• Experience in an integrated computerized environment.
• Proficiency in English and French to communicate with clients and suppliers, and to prepare tenders and contracts.

Mansioni

• Prepare public Calls for Tenders and ensure LCOP compliance; plan and execute acquisitions within delegated authority.
• Provide supervision to buyers and assistants; coordinate workload and monitor operations.
• Advise university stakeholders on policies, procedures and procurement responsibilities.
