Reporting to the Category Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and administering the day-to-day activities associated with procurements relating to complex, and high value contracts, in Information Technology Services: acquiring technology products, services, and solutions which includes identifying needs, evaluating suppliers, and selecting the right hardware, software, and services to enhance operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
As Senior Procurement Specialist (Information Technology) you will prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) / Request for Bids (RFBs), Negotiated Request for Proposals (NRFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Advance Contract Award Notices (ACAN), Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Pre-qualification processes (RFSQ)
You will be liaising and providing guidance to end user customers and staff to co-ordinate procurement efforts and maintain schedule requirements
In your role, you will review, comment, and recommend revisions as appropriate on statements of work/scope of services/terms of reference/technical specifications
The incumbent of this role develops evaluation criteria, weighting, and submission requirements for use in evaluating proposals
This role will require you to perform market research through outreach to other public entities to ensure continued competitiveness for procurement calls utilizing best practices and process improvements
You will coordinate and chair procurement negotiation meetings for non-competitive and other negotiated contracts in addition to coordinating and chairing pre-bid meetings or site tours for bidders/proponents, kick-off meetings, debriefing meetings with unsuccessful bidders, and prepares and issues minutes of meetings
The selected candidate responds to complaints from suppliers and defends corporate position while facilitating consensus evaluation meetings with internal customer stakeholders, reads all proposals and documents the discussion and rationale for categories outlined as evaluation criteria for all submissions received in response to RFxs
Your role will be to author commercial analysis and recommendations for award reports, and prepares final contract documents
You will lead end-to-end procurement activities for high-value and strategic goods or services, develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals.
You will negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers
And of course, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement solutions support operational objectives
