Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions (Canada) Inc. is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing, oversee complex commercial agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of equipment, materials, and services for major projects in Vancouver.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in SCM or related field and extensive experience with procurement on large capital projects, contract administration, and supplier relationship management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• Experience supporting procurement activities on major capital, infrastructure, or resource-sector projects.
• Proven background sourcing high-value equipment packages and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong experience administering contracts through award, execution, change management, and completion.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project, operational, and commercial stakeholders to support transition and project readiness.
• Review commercial documentation and payment applications for contractual compliance.
• Monitor supplier deliverables and address schedule or performance concerns.
• Develop procurement and commercial execution plans aligned with objectives, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate contract administration activities including amendments, claims, change control, and close-out processes.
• Lead sourcing activities for major equipment and services throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee supplier performance, delivery commitments, and contractual compliance.
• Manage competitive bid processes and vendor selections; conduct evaluations.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and terms.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

This position offers the opportunity to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, oversee complex commercial agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure equipment, materials, and services are delivered in support of critical project objectives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with project, operational, and commercial stakeholders to support transition and project readiness activities.
• Review commercial documentation and payment applications to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor critical supplier deliverables and proactively address schedule or performance concerns.
• Develop procurement and commercial execution plans that align with project objectives, schedules, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate contract administration activities including amendments, claims management, change control, and close-out processes.
• Lead sourcing activities for major equipment, materials, and service packages throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee supplier performance, delivery commitments, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manage competitive bid processes, including market engagement, tender preparation, commercial evaluations, and vendor selection recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contractual terms.
• Preform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience supporting procurement activities on major capital, infrastructure, industrial, or resource-sector projects.
• Proven background sourcing high-value equipment packages and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong experience administering contracts through award, execution, change management, and completion phases.
• Knowledge of multiple commercial contracting models, including fixed-price, reimbursable, target-cost, and unit-rate agreements.
• Proficiency with enterprise procurement, contract management, and ERP systems, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
