Job summary

Paladin Canada is seeking a Process Engineer to contribute to the Patterson Lake South project in Saskatchewan, advancing the processing facility from detailed engineering through commissioning and startup to support safety, performance, and operability.

The role offers growth across greenfield uranium development with collaboration among project leaders, metallurgists, operations personnel, and engineering specialists, plus a strong focus on safety and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of process engineering experience in uranium processing or hydrometallurgy.
• Experience with process modelling software such as METSIM, HSC Chemistry, Aspen Plus, or similar platforms.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative project environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, and delivery of the PLS processing facility.
• Prepare process engineering deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, control philosophies.
• Support evaluation and optimization of process designs via tests, modelling, studies.
• Collaborate with consultants, project teams, and operations personnel.
• Assist with equipment selection, plant design reviews, and safety.
• Prepare technical documentation for regulatory submissions and decisions.
• Participate in process safety reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, readiness initiatives.
• Assist with commissioning plans, SOPs, training, performance testing.
• Support ramp-up activities and transition to production.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
