Job summary

Paladin Canada is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Patterson Lake South project in Saskatchewan. You will contribute to the design, construction, commissioning, startup, and operation of the new processing facility, shaping safety, reliability, and efficiency from early planning through ramp-up.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, metallurgists, and operations personnel, gaining hands-on experience across all project phases, while developing expertise in uranium

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of process engineering experience in uranium processing or hydrometallurgical operations.
• Experience with METSIM, HSC Chemistry, Aspen Plus or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development and delivery of the PLS processing facility through all project phases.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, process control philosophies, and equipment specs.
• Support process design evaluation and optimization via tests, modelling, and studies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and future operations personnel to develop safe, efficient processing solutions.
• Contribute to equipment selection and plant design reviews for long-term performance.
• Prepare technical documentation and engineering reports for regulatory submissions and internal decisions.
• Participate in process safety reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and readiness initiatives.
• Assist with commissioning plans, operating procedures, training materials, and startup activities.
• Support ramp-up and transition to production with project and operations teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, reliability and operation.
