Job summary

Worley Consulting seeks a senior consultant to drive growth in the industrial automation sector, focusing on cutting‑edge digital and autonomous solutions. You will lead control systems projects and collaborate with Worley offices for blended execution on major mining, LNG, and oil and gas initiatives.

The role requires extensive design and field experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across disciplines with global teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading control systems projects.
• Experience in mining, LNG, petrochemical, oil and gas, and nuclear industries.
• Front end engineering: scope, control system philosophy, SIS, SIL, P&ID, TIC estimates.
• Detailed design: instrumentation, BPCS/SIS, I/O indices, network architecture, FAT/SAT docs.
• Operational technology (OT) networking and firewall configuration knowledge.
• Experience delivering SCADA systems for pipeline/midstream facilities.
• SOWs, RFQs, and bid evaluations in owner or consultant roles.
• Safety-related automation interfaces (ESD, SIS, F&G) and OT security.
• Field support for FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover.
• Lifecycle automation development and vendor system experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and expansion of new business opportunities in industrial automation.
• Collaborate with Worley offices to share work and form blended execution teams.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering partners, contractors, equipment vendors and integrators.
• Lead projects from concept through design, construction support, commissioning and handover.
• Deliver safety-related automation systems and operator training interfaces.
• Advise on project scopes, execution plans, budgets and risk management.
