The Product Analytics Team is a centralized analytics group working closely with product line development teams across the company to democratize ML / analytics across all Autodesk products. We are on a mission to build a centralized Insights and recommendation platform that powers product insights across all Autodesk products. We are seeking an Senior Principal Engineer with unparalleled expertise in cloud architecture and large-scale distributed systems . This is a strategic leadership role that goes beyond technical execution, driving architectural vision, influencing organizational strategy, and delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges . Responsibilities

Define Architectural Vision : Develop and articulate the long-term architectural strategy, enabling scalability, reliability, and efficiency across our systems

Strategic Contributions : Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the company’s technical direction, aligning it with business objectives and growth strategies

Lead Large-Scale Initiatives : Drive end-to-end design and execution of complex, cross-functional programs, from legacy system modernization to new platform development

Strategic Vision : Proven ability to contribute at the executive level, aligning technical direction with business goals and organizational priorities

Cloud Expertise : Mastery of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures, including microservices, serverless, and event-driven design

Technical Depth : Extensive experience with distributed systems, database design (relational and NoSQL), and event-streaming platforms like Kafka or similar technologies

Data & ML Synergy : Familiarity with machine learning infrastructure, data pipelines, and real-time analytics

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $153,600 and $211,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
