Vanta is hiring a Principal Engineer in Canada to own the architectural foundation of the enterprise org model, including product lines, business units, and data residency considerations. • 15+ years of deep backend engineering experience leading multi-quarter technical initiatives.
• Designed platform abstractions absorbing diverse enterprise requirements.
• Shipping in stages with incremental progression across complex problems.
• Collaboration across squads and leadership with technical clarity.

Responsibilities

• Own design and multi-quarter delivery of enterprise org model.
• Define and evolve core platform abstractions for diverse requirements.
• Retrofit live system toward multi-tenant org structure with safe migrations.
• Drive alignment across squads with technical clarity rather than authority.
• Partner with leadership to translate long-term vision into phased work.
• Set technical standards and patterns for the group.
