WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

  • Responsible for data analysis work in fashion e-commerce, including business insights, opportunity analysis and business strategies. Insight into market changes, analyze user needs, use AI and data modeling tools to discover growth strategies, guide content operations, and enhance user experience.
  • Take end-to-end ownership for developing, deploying, and operating machine learning solutions on our centralized abuse protection platform for detecting and managing transactional risks.
  • Raise the analytical and technical bar within the applied science domain by improving processes and documentation.
  • Quick prototyping and spiking of analysis models to assess their applicability for solving research, customer, and business problems.
  • Rigorous approach in solving, conducting, and documenting analysis projects.
  • Work in a cross functional team consisting of software applied scientists, engineers, product managers, and product analysts.
  • Contribute to our growing science community and encourage knowledge sharing in an agile work environment.
  • Facilitate technical collaboration and alignment with our engineering teams in China, understanding and adapting to the specific technical and market requirements of the Chinese e-commerce environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Have solid practical experience in data analysis. Be proficient in using various tools for data modeling and have an insight into business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Familiar with large model products such as OpenAI/Deepseek/Qwen, have good experience in developing Prompt instructions, and be efficient in data acquisition, data processing, data modeling and business analysis.
  • Be proficient in Python/R and related statistical analysis frameworks such as PyTorch, Pandas, etc.
  • Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation, also including analysis workflow orchestration.
  • Passion for developing clean, well maintainable, and testable code.
  • Motivation for continued personal development in discovering new technologies and software services.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to understand the business context where the team operates and the customer problems being solved.
  • Very good communication skills to translate (even complex) analytical / engineering decisions and outcomes to broader, non-technical audience.
  • Prior experience operating within or in collaboration with the Chinese market—along with a strong understanding of its distinct business landscape and the ability to tailor technical solutions accordingly—is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) is preferred, enabling clear communication and seamless collaboration with our teams based in China.
