Job summary

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Pre-Construction & Capital Planning to lead complex capital projects from design through tender readiness. You will manage a team, coordinate architects and engineers, and ensure on-time delivery within budget and scope.

We value experience in education infrastructure, strong stakeholder communication, and strategic oversight. Travel to TCDSB sites may be required; a valid Ontario driver’s license is helpful.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, engineering, building science, construction management, project management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive design management experience with budgeting and scheduling.
• Registration with Ontario Association of Architects or Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario or eligibility.
• Proficient with MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe and Bluebeam.
• Public sector experience in education or health is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary groups including school communities, administrators, consultants, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for assigned capital development projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee feasibility, ATP submissions, funding coordination, design, consultant management, approvals, and project readiness.
• Lead, coach, and develop project staff to ensure effective delivery of the capital program.
• Monitor productivity and resources to ensure efficient delivery of capital projects.
• Develop governance practices, reporting tools, and project controls.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and municipal approvals.
• Prepare project updates, dashboards, ATP updates, and track decisions.
