Job summary

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Manager, Public Relations for a 13‑month fixed term, based in Montreal. You will partner with the Global Communications team to craft corporate and industry stories across North America and Quebec, influencing media, customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in PR, corporate comms or external comms in tech/fintech/SaaS.
• Exceptional writing and editing; translate complex topics into clear messages.
• Proven media relations with business, tech and mainstream press; Canada/Quebec knowledge a plus.
• Experience advising senior leaders and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong PM skills; manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with data storytelling and corporate communications planning.
• Bilingual: English and French; English working language for global company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive corporate and industry stories across North America and Quebec.
• Shape Lightspeed's point‑of‑view on policy topics in Canada and the US; grow profile among business and enterprise media.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reporters and influencers in tech and business.
• Lead proactive media engagement across Canada and Quebec; identify stories, spokespersons, timing and outlets.
• Advise senior leaders; provide strategic communications counsel with clear POV.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align comms with strategic objectives; coordinate data science opportunities.
• Write, edit and produce high‑quality external communications (press releases, briefings, speeches, bylines).
• Lead issues management, media interview prep and crisis communications.
• Establish objectives and measurement frameworks; report on ROI and progress.
• Monitor media narratives and reputational risks; support budget/resource allocation.
