• 7+ years of progressive experience in public relations or corporate communications.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for clear, strategic messaging.
• Experience building media relationships with business, tech, and mainstream press.
• Experience advising senior leaders and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience with data storytelling, issues management, and crisis communications.
• Bilingual English and French is a strong asset for Quebec HQ.
• Fluency in English as working language for global audiences.
• Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive corporate and industry stories across North America and Quebec.
• ShapeLightspeed's POV on policy topics in Canada and the US for relevant media.
• Grow the company’s profile among business, tech, and mainstream media.
• Lead proactive media engagement and pitching across Canada and Quebec.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align comms with strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with data science and external vendors to cultivate data storytelling opportunities.
• Write, edit, and produce high‑quality external communications and briefings.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on issues and crisis communications.
• Monitor media trends and reputational risks and adapt plans accordingly.
