Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of cannabis brands. This individual will be responsible for optimizing brand performance, developing growth strategies, and ensuring brand alignment with market trends and consumer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Portfolio Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for managing multiple cannabis brands, ensuring market differentiation and profitability.
  • Oversee brand positioning, pricing, and marketing strategies across all product formats.
  • Align brand strategies with overall company goals, ensuring synergy across the portfolio.

Consumer Research & Market Insights

  • Conduct in-depth consumer research to understand preferences, behaviors, and purchasing drivers within the cannabis industry.
  • Utilize surveys, focus groups, and data analytics to gather insights and identify opportunities for brand differentiation.
  • Translate research findings into actionable strategies to enhance brand positioning, messaging, and product development.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Collaborate with sales teams to optimize retail and distribution strategies for each brand.
  • Develop promotional strategies, campaigns, and partnerships to drive consumer engagement.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure product availability, pricing competitiveness, and revenue growth.

Brand Marketing & Consumer Engagement

  • Oversee brand messaging and packaging initiatives to enhance consumer awareness.
  • Lead communications strategies for all brands; specifically digital and social media strategies to drive brand loyalty and engagement.
  • Identify and execute brand collaborations, influencer partnerships, and experiential marketing activations.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure all brand marketing and product positioning adhere to cannabis regulations in various markets.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to navigate marketing restrictions and labeling guidelines.
  • Stay informed about evolving cannabis regulations and industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, sales, and retail teams to execute brand initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to brand managers and marketing teams.
  • Present brand performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and investors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Brand Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in brand management, portfolio management, or marketing (cannabis, CPG, or luxury/lifestyle brand experience preferred).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple brands and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer trends, digital marketing, and retail strategies.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and market challenges.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
