Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of cannabis brands. This individual will be responsible for optimizing brand performance, developing growth strategies, and ensuring brand alignment with market trends and consumer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for managing multiple cannabis brands, ensuring market differentiation and profitability.
  2. Oversee brand positioning, pricing, and marketing strategies across all product formats.
  3. Align brand strategies with overall company goals, ensuring synergy across the portfolio.

Consumer Research & Market Insights

  1. Conduct in-depth consumer research to understand preferences, behaviors, and purchasing drivers within the cannabis industry.
  2. Utilize surveys, focus groups, and data analytics to gather insights and identify opportunities for brand differentiation.
  3. Translate research findings into actionable strategies to enhance brand positioning, messaging, and product development.
  4. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
  5. Collaborate with sales teams to optimize retail and distribution strategies for each brand.
  6. Develop promotional strategies, campaigns, and partnerships to drive consumer engagement.
  7. Work with internal and external teams to ensure product availability, pricing competitiveness, and revenue growth.
  8. Oversee brand messaging and packaging initiatives to enhance consumer awareness.
  9. Lead communication strategies for all brands, especially digital and social media, to foster brand loyalty and engagement.
  10. Identify and execute brand collaborations, influencer partnerships, and experiential marketing activations.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  1. Ensure all brand marketing and product positioning adhere to cannabis regulations in various markets.
  2. Work closely with compliance teams to navigate marketing restrictions and labeling guidelines.
  3. Stay informed about evolving cannabis regulations and industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  1. Collaborate with product development, marketing, sales, and retail teams to execute brand initiatives.
  2. Provide leadership and mentorship to brand managers and marketing teams.
  3. Present brand performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and investors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Brand Management, or a related field.
  2. 7+ years of experience in brand management, portfolio management, or marketing (cannabis, CPG, or luxury/lifestyle brand experience preferred).
  3. Proven track record of managing multiple brands and driving revenue growth.
  4. Strong knowledge of consumer trends, digital marketing, and retail strategies.
  5. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and market challenges.
  6. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
