Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Edmonton is seeking a Playwright Automation Tester to support a Microsoft Dynamics-based project. You will design, develop, and execute automated test suites to ensure high-quality enterprise solutions.

You will work in a hybrid Edmonton setting, build test frameworks (POM, reusable components), and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Collaboration with developers, analysts, and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in software testing with strong automation exposure.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., REST, Postman).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript)
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Microsoft Dynamics applications
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Build and maintain test frameworks aligned with best practices (POM, reusable components, CI/CD integration)
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects
