Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior/Staff Platform Engineer based in Canada to design, build, and operate large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure. You will own cluster architecture, networking, security, upgrades, and reliability while driving automation and tooling to improve developer experience.

This hands-on role requires deep expertise in Go/Python/Java, IaC with Terraform, and strong incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Platform/SRE/Infra roles with production systems
• Proven Kubernetes platform design, build, and operation experience
• Production coding in Go, Python, or Java with automation focus
• Strong incident response, RCA, and ownership across large-scale infra
• Deep Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing understanding
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and improve production Kubernetes platforms and networks
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes and infra issues beyond application layer
• Maintain highly available infrastructure across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments
• Develop production tooling in Go/Python/Java to improve reliability
• Own incident response, RCA, remediation, and disaster recovery initiatives
• Define and improve SLOs/SLIs, alerts, and monitoring pipelines
• Create infrastructure as code using Terraform and related tooling
• Advance CI/CD workflows balancing speed, security, and reliability
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions
• Coordinate with customers/teams to translate requirements into robust solutions
• Lead complex initiatives from design through production operation
