Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the foundational platform infrastructure underpinning Auth0-scale services on AWS and Azure. You will influence standards, security, and deployment practices across multiple product teams to drive reliability and performance.

You will lead GitOps workflows, Terraform governance, testing automation, and service mesh initiatives while maintaining Vault and runner fleets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience in infrastructure/platform
• Proficient in Golang
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and containerization
• DevOps experience with cloud-native technologies
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP fundamentals
• Experience managing cloud resources via code (AWS/Azure)
• Terraform at scale experience
• Tier-1 service mindset handling edge cases and partial failures
• Delivering work incrementally to gather feedback
• Passion for reliable, scalable, secure systems
• Ownership, accountability and attention to detail
• Experience in distributed teams
• Diving into complexity to deliver high-performance systems

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ultimate technical authority for Kubernetes cluster troubleshooting
• Define and enforce Terraform standards and security protocols
• Develop and maintain deployment standards using Kustomize
• Orchestrate GitOps with ArgoCD/Argo Workflows; manage environment lifecycles
• Architect Testing Automation Framework for chaos testing
• Oversee core infrastructure including Vault and self-hosted runners
• Lead service mesh design, deployment, and scaling for secure service-to-service communication
• Participate in on-call rotations
