Job summary

SaskEnergy seeks a qualified Electrical Technician to lead installation, calibration, inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical systems across Corporate facilities. The role involves coordinating on-site contractors, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance, and supervising maintenance during shutdowns.

The incumbent will contribute to design changes with the automation group, procure materials for installations, and mentor staff while upholding procurement and quality

Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Provincial or Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
Valid class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate on-site construction contractors and perform electrical duties for installation, calibration, inspection, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
Perform and oversee maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment during major plant shutdowns or other electrical maintenance activities.
Provide advice and recommendations on electrical safety and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Oversee tendered electrical and instrumentation installation contracts to ensure adherence to specifications and verify changes.
