Job summary

IAMGOLD Corporation is seeking a Senior Planner, Mine Maintenance to lead planning and scheduling for the Mine Maintenance department at the Côté Gold operation in Canada. You will optimize maintenance work using best practices in planning, scheduling, kitting, and staging, while coaching the team to maximize potential.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in asset management and maintenance planning in mining, strong CMMS experience (eAM or similar), and advanced MS Project and data

Qualifications

5–7 years of asset management and maintenance planning experience in large open pit mining operations or heavy industrial facilities.
At least 5 years of proven experience with CMMS systems, with in-depth knowledge of data definitions.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in maintenance planning and scheduling for safe, timely, high-quality execution.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and asset management standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate resources to support maintenance plans and achieve targets.
Monitor KPIs, budgets, and forecasts to support planning decisions.
Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
Mentor and develop the planning team to maximize potential.
Collaborate across operations, maintenance, technical services, and supply chain to align plans.

We are actively seeking a Senior Planner, Mine Maintenance, to lead planning and scheduling activities for the Mine Maintenance department. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the maintenance planning and scheduling practices. The Senior Mine Maintenance Planner will optimize maintenance work using planning, scheduling, kitting & staging best practices. They will have to support, coach, train and mentor the mine maintenance planning team to maximize their potential.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in maintenance planning and scheduling, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution of all planned work.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and asset management standards, including policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate resources (people, equipment, materials) to support maintenance plans and achieve operational targets.
Monitor and maintain data accuracy, KPIs, budgets, and forecasts to support effective planning and decision-making.
Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance performance and processes.
Support team performance by setting clear expectations, fostering an inclusive environment, and ensuring appropriate training and development.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, technical services, and supply chain to align plans and resolve issues.
Facilitate effective communication, contractor coordination, and mentorship to ensure successful execution of maintenance activities and development of team members.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge:

College diplomas or university degrees in a related mobile maintenance field.
Maintenance related trades diploma with Red Seal certificate is considered an asset.
May accept candidates possessing a trades certificate in a related field of expertise with relevant experience.
A minimum 5-7 years’ experience in asset management and maintenance planning role in large open pit mining operations, mineral processing plants or other heavy industrial facilities.
At least 5 years of proven experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (eAM or similar), with in-depth knowledge of eAM data definition.

Skills & Strengths, We Value:

Strong knowledge of shutdown planning, maintenance systems, and CMMS processes; experience with Oracle eAM and system implementations is an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including expert-level MS Project skills, with strong organizational and data management capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions under pressure while managing competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in multicultural environments, analyze and resolve problems, and produce accurate reports in compliance with relevant legislation.
