Job summary

IAMGOLD Corporation in Gogama (Ontario) is actively seeking a Mining Engineer in Training II to support mine planning, operational reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement across our Côté Gold operations. You will collaborate with site and corporate teams to drive data-driven decision making for safe and productive mining.

We value hands-on problem solvers with a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and strong skills in data analytics, Excel, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mining engineering (open pit or underground).
• Experience with mine planning software and scheduling.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We’re actively searching for a Mining Engineer in Training II based in Gogama with a start date to be determined, reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer. In this role, you’ll support mine planning, operational reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement across our three mining operations, helping drive performance through collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

Your work will directly support IMG’s purpose by helping optimize mining operations, improve performance, and enable informed decision-making. Through technical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll contribute to the safe, sustainable, and efficient delivery of value across the business.

Job Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Additional education in computer science, data analytics, or related fields is an asset.

Relevant Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mining engineering (open pit or underground).
• Experience with mine engineering, scheduling, and operational analysis as well as mine planning software.

Skills & Strengths, We Value

• Strong presentation and communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and technical reporting.
• Solid understanding of mining operations and production processes, combined with strong organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset; French language skills are an asset.

Salary Range: $70,800- $106,200

The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
