Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist to lead and support the development of PIAs across new technologies and programs. You will analyze risks, advise on mitigations, and prepare senior-management briefing notes, in alignment with Ontario privacy laws.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, budget and timeline management, and delivering PIA training to clients, with a focus on public sector contexts and FIPPA/MFIPPA compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of privacy and security concepts and compliance requirements.
• Experience researching privacy laws and risk countermeasures.
• Experience conducting PIAs in the public sector.
• Knowledge of FIPPA/MFIPPA and PHIPA and related regulations.
• Ability to lead PIA development independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development of PIAs, evaluating privacy risks for new tech and programs.
• Prepare in-depth PIA reports and briefing notes for senior management.
• Identify timelines and budgets using project management frameworks.
• Develop and deliver PIA-related training to clients.
• Provide privacy advice on approaches and mitigation strategies.
• Consult, negotiate, and coordinate input across subject matter experts.
