As a Senior People Business Partner at Fullsteam, you will serve as a strategic consultant to our business leaders, playing a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive and productive work culture, and driving organizational success through effective talent management and employee engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers, ensuring timely and accurate responses to HR inquiries.
- Guide managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead employee relations initiatives, assist with investigations, resolve concerns, develop documentation, and promote a positive work environment.
- Identify workplace trends proactively and recommend HR interventions to address engagement, performance, and retention challenges.
- Support talent management programs, including performance management and leadership development.
- Assist with organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization to ensure the organization has the right talent in the right roles.
- Maintain communication with business leaders to understand team dynamics and provide support.
- Ensure accurate employee records, support HR compliance, and align with company policies and labor laws.
- Contribute to change management initiatives and communicate effectively within the organization.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to offer insights and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement company-wide initiatives such as learning programs and change management processes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture reflecting organizational values.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and stay updated on legal changes, with a focus on U.S. and Canadian labor laws.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws (including Canadian regulations), and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to employee relations, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing organizational exposure.

- Experience with HCM systems, preferably Workday.
- Extensive experience supporting Canadian HR processes, including employee relations and compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
- At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, focusing on business partnership and employee relations.
- HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CHRP, CHRL) is a plus.
