Ascenseurs Design inc seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the hardware design group for space applications. You will craft, execute, and validate mixed-signal PCBs for satellite and orbital systems, including digital control, motor drives, onboard processors, and mass storage.

Responsibilities include leading digital/analog PCB design in space environments, mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with FPGA/software/test teams, reviewing schematics, BOMs, and performing simulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in designing processor, digital, analog, high-speed, or mixed-signal PCBs.
• Experience in design architecture and handling multidisciplinary specifications and reviews (FPGA, software, mechanical, etc.).
• Proficiency in coaching and supervising junior team members and interns.

Responsabilités

• Lead the digital/analog PCB design for space environments.
• Mentor and oversee junior team members and interns in PCB design.
• Translate board-level requirements into a comprehensive design concept (architecture, I/Os, key components, power dissipation estimates, FPGA integration, software integration).
• Collaborate with FPGA, software, and test designers to finalize concepts and integration.
• Review schematic capture level design and manage technology risks.
• Provide guidance for Design for Manufacture/Test in space environments.
• Oversee layout constraints, parts placement, manufacturing, and assembly drawings.
• Prepare BOMs and long lead item lists and ensure parts qualifications for space.
• Conduct circuit simulations (SPICE, HyperLynx, ADS) and analyses (worst-case, FMECA).
• Coordinate with structural, thermal, packaging, manufacturing, QA teams for reviews.
• Oversee board assembly and manufacturing tests.
• Prepare review presentations, test plans, and procedures.
• Lead junior members in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of mixed-signal boards.
• Support environmental and functional tests for space missions.
