PSI is a team of payroll and compliance experts providing outsourced payroll, HR, and implementation services to businesses across North America.

We specialise in multi-province payroll, helping organisations stay compliant with ever-changing tax laws, reporting requirements, and employment standards.

Our Client Services teams manage ongoing payroll operations for hundreds of businesses, ensuring every payment, deduction, and tax submission is right the first time.

Our Implementation and Professional Services teams take new clients live - configuring systems, migrating data, and setting up payrolls that run seamlessly from day one.

It’s detailed, specialist work - and it’s the reason clients stay with us year after year.

This role can be based anywhere in Ontario, Canada, with a planned start date of November 2025.

Why This Role Matters

Payroll compliance isn’t just about ticking boxes - it’s about protecting businesses, supporting employees, and building trust.

As our Senior Payroll Compliance Business Partner, you’ll be the trusted expert ensuring that all payroll operations, policies, and year-end activities meet the highest compliance standards.

About the Team You'll Join

You’ll work closely with our Implementation, Client Services, and Tax teams - the people who bring payroll to life for our clients.

We’re a collaborative, friendly group who care deeply about getting things right. We share knowledge, solve problems together, and celebrate accuracy just as much as speed.

It’s a great place for someone who enjoys helping others understand complex legislation and takes satisfaction in seeing every detail add up correctly.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage three key portfolios: year-end processing, complex payroll configurations, and system enhancements.
  • Lead payroll compliance initiatives across all provinces and territories.
  • Oversee annual filings (T4s, RL-1s, WSIB/WCB, etc.) to ensure every client remains compliant.
  • Develop, document, and improve payroll policies, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Educate clients and internal teams on legislative updates and compliance best practices.
  • Partner with onboarding, banking, and tax teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
  • Support automation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Canadian payroll legislation and system integrations.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and compliance support to payroll team members.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in Canadian payroll compliance and administration.
  • Strong understanding of federal and provincial payroll regulations and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with major payroll software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex legislation clearly and confidently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
  • Experience handling payroll for multiple provinces and complex client structures.
What You'll Gain
  • A key role at the centre of a growing, highly respected Canadian payroll provider.
  • Daily variety - working across multiple clients, systems, and compliance areas.
  • The chance to shape our payroll systems and compliance strategy.
  • Support from a team that truly values accuracy, professionalism, and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work remotely while staying connected to a supportive team culture.
  • Access to global expertise, tools, and resources through the wider IRIS Software Group.
