Job Description:

**This is a 1-year temporary position with the possibility of extension**

The Senior Payments Services Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic team environment, providing support to Sun Life Business Units.

The Senior Coordinator role is responsible for understanding and supporting leadership objectives, providing coaching to team members, and promoting an efficient and productive environment to meet service level agreements and quality standards. They will identify opportunities for process improvement related to end-to-end processes and proactively resolve issues.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure team accuracy and quality throughout all production processes
  • Understand end-to-end processes
  • Track staff errors and inform the Team Leader
  • Provide daily quality feedback to employees using process notes
  • Support change management initiatives for process improvements
  • Handle tier 2 investigations and escalations using knowledge and client contacts
  • Identify and communicate gaps to meet customer and business needs
  • Verify data entry into spreadsheets and workflow boards
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets (Excel)
  • Respond to business partner queries via team email
  • Train team members across Payment Services functions
  • Provide backup support for team functions and the Team Leader
  • Assign tasks and direct staff when needed
  • Manage vendor escalations (e.g., Creditron, RDC)
  • Keep leadership informed of issues or escalations
  • Participate in interviewing and staff development with the Team Leader
  • Act as a resource for Payment Services processes
  • Monitor adherence to Service Level Agreements and escalate when at risk

Competencies:

  • Quality and Accuracy: Maintain high standards through precise quality control and data entry
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital file preparation, Excel, OneNote, and adaptability to new technologies
  • Workflow and Organization: Manage tasks efficiently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Communication and Collaboration: Clearly communicate, value teamwork, and instruct effectively
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Analyze information, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Personal Effectiveness: Take responsibility, adapt to change, and meet high standards

Note: Bilingualism (French and English) is required for Quebec due to frequent interactions with colleagues and partners across Canada and globally.
