Job summary

First Baptist Church Ingersoll in Ontario is seeking a senior pastor to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the congregation. The role calls for biblically faithful preaching, effective discipleship, and compassionate pastoral care in a contemporary worship context.

The successful candidate will have ordination recognized by CBOQ or a compatible Baptist body, a Master of Divinity preferred, and at least 10 years of pastoral ministry.

Qualifications

• Ordination in good standing with CBOQ or acceptable Baptist body.
• Education: Master of Divinity preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Preaching and teaching that is biblically faithful and engaging.
• Develop and implement vision and leadership for the church.
• Champion discipleship and faith formation across all ages.
• Reach, welcome, and integrate new attendees; foster relationships.
• Provide compassionate pastoral care during crises and transitions.
• Collaborate with staff, leaders, and volunteers to advance the church mission.
• Report to and support the Leadership Board in governance and planning.
