Mariner in Saint John, NB, is seeking a Senior OT Control Systems Engineer to design, support and secure industrial automation in a critical operations environment. You will optimize DCS/PLC/HMI strategies, improve cybersecurity, and ensure safe, reliable operations.

Lead commissioning, upgrades, and lifecycle activities while collaborating with operations, maintenance, cybersecurity and vendors to deliver high‑performing automation solutions across refining and manufacturing contexts.

Qualifications

15+ years in OT, industrial automation, or process control in heavy industry.
Experience with DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS and industrial networking platforms.
Hands-on OT infrastructure, cybersecurity, network architecture, lifecycle management.
Troubleshooting and optimizing complex automation environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of OT/control system solutions.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, HMI, SIS, and asset monitoring.
Develop control strategies, system configurations, and automation standards.
Design and support industrial networks with cybersecurity and secure integration.
Plan upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives.
Monitor health, investigate issues, and provide advanced troubleshooting.
Lead commissioning, startup, testing, and validation of new/modifed systems.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, cybersecurity, and vendors.
