Kinaxis is seeking an Operations Research Software Developer to join our team in Ottawa or Toronto with hybrid work options. You will build advanced optimization models for supply chain planning, collaborating with an agile team to translate real-world use cases into mathematical formulations.

You should have a MSc/PhD in OR/Industrial Engineering or CS and 5+ years of software development, with strong C++ and experience in solvers like Gurobi, Xpress or CPLEX; knowledge of automated testing and

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science (or related).
• 5+ years of software development experience, track record of delivering commercial software.
• Strong C++ knowledge, OO design and unit testing.
• Love of data structures and algorithms and applying them to real problems.
• Experience in creating mathematical models of real‑world optimization problems.
• Experience with commercial solvers (Gurobi, Xpress, CPLEX).
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Interest in applying AI or tooling with architecture and code quality.
• Nice to have knowledge of ML models and Supply Chain Management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Investigate novel techniques combining heuristics with optimization.
• Translate supply chain use cases into mathematical models.
• Lead design and implementation of mathematical models.
• Define test strategies and develop test plans.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust software.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders.
