Kinaxis is hiring for an Operations Research Software Developer to design and implement mathematical models for supply chain optimization. The role emphasizes C++ core development, algorithmic thinking, and collaboration with an agile team to deliver scalable software.

The team leverages in-memory data services, commercial solvers, and testing frameworks to ensure correctness and performance across global customers. Remote options exist across Canada and the USA.

Qualifications

• MSC or PhD in OR/Engineering/CS.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong C++ and OO design fundamentals.
• Experience with mathematical optimization solvers (Gurobi/CPLEX).
• Ability to design automated tests and contribute to SDLC improvements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate novel techniques combining heuristics with optimization.
• Translate real-world supply chain use cases into models.
• Lead design and implementation of mathematical models.
• Define test strategies and develop test plans.
• Write unit & integration tests and debugging routines.
• Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders.
• Shape Kinaxis' direction as it grows into new markets.
