Job Opportunity: Senior Operational Controls/Technical Accounting

Our client is seeking a Senior Operational Controls/Technical Accounting professional for a newly created position. The ideal candidate will have a blend of experience in Large Public Accounting and related audit or strong general accounting within a corporate setting. This role offers a very hybrid work environment, requiring in-office presence 1-2 days a week, with the remainder remote.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

1. Minimum of 2-4 years of Public Audit Internal Controls experience.
2. 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
3. Experience with internal controls and some regulatory accounting is preferred.
4. Involvement in operational risk management initiatives.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Developing and updating internal controls processes for C-Level colleagues.
7. Collaborating with management to achieve operational efficiencies.
8. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
9. Developing and delivering agendas on compliance responsibilities.
10. Keeping current with accounting pronouncements.
11. Ideal candidates will have passed the CPA or CIA exam.
