The Occupational Health and Safety Officer (Inspector Specialist) role with the Government of Nova Scotia is based in Port Hawkesbury. You will implement the Internal Responsibility System across workplaces and advise employers, employees and other stakeholders on duties under the OHSA and Regulations.

• High school plus related trade or technical training in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Equivalencies may apply: 2-year diploma with 6 years experience or 4-year bachelor with 4 years experience.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct workplace inspections and investigations of accidents, incidents and discriminatory actions as assigned.
• Ensure compliance by issuing orders and initiating prosecution actions.
