Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Manager, Event Management & Observability to lead monitoring and observability across I&IT portfolios. The role requires hands-on knowledge of deploying telemetry, configuring agents, building dashboards, and integrating with ITSM in large hybrid/cloud environments.

You will drive correlation, noise reduction, and automation while partnering with leaders across the organization. You will onboard applications/infrastructure to monitoring platforms, manage telemetry

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline.
• Depth and breadth in Development and Operations with leadership.
• Cloud/Observability certifications or related training.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to standardize monitoring across I&IT portfolios.
• Oversee event normalization, enrichment, categorization, and severity mapping.
• Drive alert quality, threshold tuning, and noise reduction strategies.
• Define minimum monitoring baseline for production systems and adoption.
• Create an inclusive environment aligned with Metrolinx goals.
