Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Deputy Divisional Nursing Director for Urgent and Emergency Care. The post involves deputising for the Divisional Nurse Director, leading Lead Nurses and Clinical Educators, and guiding professional standards across a busy division and the Trust.

You will support operational accountability for the non-medical workforce, shape strategic direction, and contribute to governance, quality and safety initiatives while meeting local and national policies

Qualifications

Senior nurse or AHP with substantial leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead clinical teams and drive improvement.
Excellent governance, safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

Provide deputising support for the Divisional Nurse Director and lead across the Division and Trust.
Maintain operational accountability for the non-medical workforce.
Set and deliver strategic direction aligned with local and national policies.
Drive Quality and Practice Improvements to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
Offer professional nursing expertise on safety, quality and governance issues.
Contribute to the corporate nursing resource and portfolio management Trust-wide.
Participate in the Senior Manager on-call rota.
Support redeployment processes to protect staff and service continuity.
