Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is seeking a Registered Nurse (Band 5) to work within a clinical team and support patients through their care pathways. You will develop competencies toward Senior Band 5 and work under guidance from Ward/Department leadership.

Registered Nurse - Peterborough | North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

To work with in a clinical team alongside the Ward Manager/ Department Manager, Deputy Sister/ Deputy Charge Nurse, Clinical teams, Matrons, Practice Development Team (PDT) and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide the highest quality care required to support each patient in their care pathway, whilst improving the patient experience, maintaining clinical credibility, and disseminating knowledge.

Through development in this role, you will work towards becoming a Senior Staff Nurse. This will be demonstrated through achieving a number of competencies outlined in the ‘Senior Band 5’ competency pack. This job description gives a broad overview of the key responsibilities of a band 5 nurse.

Guidance should be given by your line manager on specific responsibilities and skills directly relating to your job.

Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
