Senior .NET Backend Engineer - Hybrid Travel Tech

Job summary

Range Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join TripArc as we modernize a mature travel platform on Azure. You will own end-to-end features, migrate legacy .NET code to microservices, and collaborate with QA, Product, and stakeholders in two-week sprints.

You will write robust C# and T-SQL, design services, and ensure production reliability in a hybrid role requiring two onsite days per week at 2 Queen St. E, Toronto, ON.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C# and .NET experience.
• Strong SQL Server skills: complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience building RESTful APIs with an ORM (Entity Framework).
• Experience migrating a legacy system to production microservices.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment.
• NServiceBus or Azure Service Bus experience preferred.
• CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure Pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across our stack from legacy .NET Web Forms to modern .NET microservices on Kubernetes.
• Write, debug, and optimize C# and T-SQL, tracing problems in legacy code.
• Lead migration work breaking monoliths into loosely coupled services.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries and stored procedures; use MongoDB where suitable.
• Build and maintain event-driven integrations with NServiceBus and Azure Service Bus.
