Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Senior Multiline Claims Examiner for a remote, contract role. The candidate will design realistic claims scenarios, verify coverage, investigate and document losses, and advise on settlements while ensuring proper subrogation and closure.

Responsibilities include creating action plans, coverage analyses, investigation requests, and evaluation summaries, with a focus on high-quality, policy-based judgments and thorough, written communications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional P&C claims handling, adjusting, or examining experience.
• Independently handled claims in at least one area (property, auto, BI, GL, catastrophe, or specialty).
• Understand the claim lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Read and apply policy language to facts; know when to escalate.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic claims scenarios covering N.O.L., coverage verification, investigation, documentation, reserving, damage evaluation, negotiation, settlement, subrogation, salvage, and closure.
