Senior Analyst - Commercial Loan Renewals

Downtown Toronto | Hybrid

We are recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join a dynamic commercial real estate lending team in downtown Toronto. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of credit analysis, portfolio management, and client-facing work in the commercial real estate lending space.

Working closely with Managers, you will play a key role in underwriting renewal credit opportunities, managing a portfolio of construction and term loans, and participating in client meetings to help structure these renewal deals. You will be a trusted voice in credit decisions and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deals move forward smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting commercial real estate loans including renewals, some new deals, and amendments
• Preparing detailed credit submissions and conducting in-depth risk and financial analysis
• Managing a portfolio of construction loans and term mortgages, including reviewing monthly draws and tracking project progress
• Attending client meetings to support deal structuring, pricing recommendations, and drafting term sheets
• Loan funding and servicing responsibilities
• Supporting the Management team with client solutions and referrals to other internal partners
• Ensuring compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards

Requirements:

• 2-4+ years of experience in commercial lending, must have exposure to real estate
• Solid financial analysis skills, particularly in reviewing financial statements and evaluating real estate assets
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience managing loan portfolios and familiarity to loan funding and servicing
• Proficiency with Excel and loan origination systems
• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field
