Job summary

Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Senior Mortgage Agent to lead client engagements across digital channels from inquiry to closing. You will pre-qualify applicants, assess needs, and guide underwriting while collaborating with internal teams to streamline workflows.

The role requires a provincial Level 2 Mortgage Agent License, 2+ years of experience, and CRM/POS proficiency. Expect a hybrid work environment with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Possess a Valid Level 2 Mortgage Agent License in Ontario; multi-jurisdiction licensing preferred.
• Bring 2+ years of experience as a licensed Mortgage Agent or Specialist, digital-first environment preferred.
• Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and POS tools (Finmo, Filogix, Velocity).
• Experience with telephony systems and digital communication platforms; willingness to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Client Consultation & Relationship Management: act as the primary contact via phone, email, and live chat.
• Needs-Based Financial Assessment: analyze income, credit profiles, and goals to match mortgage products.
• Product & Rate Transparency: educate clients on products, rates, criteria and required docs.
• Pre-Approval & Documentation: pre-qualify, collect and verify funds/documentation for files.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with underwriters, lenders, and closing teams to finalize files.
• Platform & Process Optimization: provide feedback to improve POS systems, CRM workflows, and tools.
• Compliance & Pipeline Tracking: maintain client records per provincial regulations and guidelines.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Client Consultation & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact via phone, email, and live chat, answering inbound inquiries and proactively engaging prospective applicants to guide them through their mortgage journey.
• Needs-Based Financial Assessment: Conduct thorough intake assessments to analyze income, credit profiles, and overall financial goals, matching clients with suitable mortgage products.
• Product & Rate Transparency: Educate clients on mortgage products, rates, lending criteria, and documentation requirements so they feel informed and confident at every step.
• Pre-Approval & Documentation: Pre-qualify and pre-approve applicants, efficiently gathering and verifying required financial and property documentation to prepare clean, compliant files for submission.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal underwriters, lenders, and closing teams to resolve conditions, clear operational roadblocks, and ensure timely file completion.
• Platform & Process Optimization: Provide actionable feedback to technology, product, and operations teams to refine point-of-sale (POS) systems, CRM workflows, and digital client tools as the brokerage scales.
• Compliance & Pipeline Tracking: Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in the CRM while ensuring strict adherence to provincial mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and compliance standards.

• Demonstrate proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), point-of-sale tools (Finmo, Filogix, Velocity), telephony systems, and digital communication platforms.
• Maintain a willingness to work flexible shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet client needs.

Compensation Information:

• Base salary: $75,000 + Commissions
• The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
