Job summary

HireOn Tech in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Mobile Automation Engineer with 7+ years of QA automation experience to strengthen our mobile testing capabilities.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Android and iOS using Java, Appium, and Selenium, and work closely with development, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications.

This role requires strong scripting, API testing, and CI/CD integration to ensure reliable releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA automation experience.
• Strong programming in Java and test frameworks.
• Hands-on with Appium and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience automating Android and iOS apps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• API testing experience with Postman or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of Jira for defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Android and iOS.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit.
• Develop regression, smoke, and functional test suites.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test strategies.
• Perform API testing and validate backend integrations.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure/GitHub Actions).
• Identify and track defects using Jira.
• Continuously improve automation processes and testing practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
