Job summary

Wave is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer in Canada to design, build, and deploy robust ML models and pipelines that power our fintech platform. You will collaborate across teams to ensure production-grade systems are reliable, scalable, and compliant.

You will own end-to-end ML life cycle—from data prep to model monitoring—while championing best practices in MLOps, governance, and observability, with a focus on impact and autonomy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional ML engineering experience.
  • Proven track record deploying models to production.
  • Experience with Databricks or Redshift data warehouses.
  • Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & deploy ML models in production.
  • Champion technical standards across ML engineering workflows.
  • Optimize and scale ML & AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with risk, product, and software teams to embed ML features.
  • Establish governance with data lineage and privacy controls.
  • Develop observability to monitor model health and metrics.
