Job summary

Quora is a remote-first company seeking an experienced machine learning engineer to own and advance ranking models behind feed and digest. You will work on recommendation systems that connect users with content, and help develop scalable ML pipelines and production-ready systems.

You should have strong ML theory, hands-on experience with end-to-end ML workflows, and a track record of building systems that scale, with excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in recommendation or ranking models.
• Strong understanding of mathematical foundations of ML algorithms.
• Experience building end-to-end ML systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Improve ranking models and ML systems in production.
• Take end-to-end ownership of data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, and integration into production systems.
• Identify opportunities to apply ML to different parts of the Quora product.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to implement algorithms and systems efficiently.
