Job summary

The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Mountain Learning Engineer to solve business problems using structured and unstructured data, statistics, and advanced machine learning. You will communicate findings to both technical and business audiences and collaborate with analytics, development, and operations teams.

Ideal candidates have a Master/PhD in a quantitative field, 5+ years of research experience, and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

Master/PhD in machine learning, CS, statistics, operations research, mathematics or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of relevant research experience with publication record.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with Cloud ML.
Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and business audiences.
Experience collaborating across analytics, development and operations teams.
Knowledgeable about the Agile development cycle and code reproducibility.

Responsibilities

Applying statistics, visualization and advanced machine learning techniques.
