Job summary

Workday is seeking highly skilled Machine Learning Engineers to build transformative AI agents for HR and Finance. You’ll architect AI frameworks, orchestrate agent workflows, and deploy scalable solutions within the Workday stack.

The role emphasizes collaboration across product, engineering, and data science teams, maintaining cutting-edge AI capabilities while ensuring reliability and compliance. Flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data science or ML/AI engineering on production-scale products
• 2+ years of professional experience with Python, Java, C++, etc. and shipping production code
• 1+ years of professional experience with ML frameworks and cloud deployment
• 1+ years of experience with LLMs, text generation models, or graph neural networks
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, physics, math or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to deliver AI-powered agents integrated into HR/Finance workflows
• Develop relationships with software engineers, ML engineers, and data scientists
• Apply understanding of AI system lifecycle from problem definition to validation
• Implement and integrate AI tools, frameworks, and platforms for scalability and compliance
• Stay up to date with AI advancements (LLMs, RAG, autonomous agents) and orchestration frameworks
• Work with product, engineering, and data science teams to implement AI-based automation
• Collaborate with external AI vendors, cloud providers, and open-source communities
• Contribute to monitoring and continuous learning to improve agent performance
