Job summary

Workday is seeking an ML Engineer to join the FIN Hyperautomation AI team in Vancouver. You’ll develop intelligent user experiences and ML solutions, from training models to deploying APIs, backed by Workday’s compute and data resources.

You will partner with product managers and engineers to deliver production-grade features, applying LLMs, RAG, and AI agents to automate complex workflows and handle financial processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science/ML engineering shipping production ML products at scale.
• 5+ years Python and numeric libraries, with production code/models.
• 5+ years cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS; advanced degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own exploration, design, implementation, and deployment of features.
• Evaluate, scale, and observe these features.
• Apply ML techniques including LLMs to process documents and automate workflows.
• Stay updated on AI/LLMs, RAG, autonomous agents to drive innovation.
• Serve as a technical role model for junior engineers.
