Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy based in Ontario is looking for a Senior Mining Practitioner to lead environmental permitting and compliance for mining clients. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in the mining sector, strong knowledge of Ontario mining regulations, and excellent leadership skills. This role offers flexibility for remote work and requires periodic travel to client and Stantec locations across Ontario.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years professional experience with a focus on mining.
• Experience with explorers, producers, and consulting service providers.
• Demonstrated technical skills and ideally advanced educational credentials.

Responsibilities

• Implement environmental assessment and permitting process.
• Manage projects including scheduling, health and safety, and budgets.
• Effectively communicate with project stakeholders.
