Job summary

A key environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mining Practitioner to join their environmental permitting practice. This role involves leading environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and closure solutions for mining clients. Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in mining, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of Ontario’s mining regulations. The position supports remote work up to three days per week and includes competitive employee benefits and a salary range of $114,600 to $164,600 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in progressively senior positions.
• Experience with explorers, producers, and consulting service providers to the mining sector.
• Demonstrated technical skills and ideally advanced educational credentials.

Responsibilities

• Implementing the environmental assessment and permitting process.
• Client liaison and business development.
• Writing and coordinating proposals and reports.
• Conduct desktop studies for regulatory requirements.
• Develop consultation programs.
• Manage projects including scheduling and budgets.

Skills

Strong understanding of the mining sector
