EXP is seeking a Mechanical Designer for Mining to join our team of engineers and designers. The role supports the Mining group from multiple Canadian offices including St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or North Bay, ON.

You will lead design efforts, produce layouts, and coordinate with clients to ensure deliverables meet project goals. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in heavy industrial design, strong Bentley/MicroStation experience, and a solid understanding of mining processes and standards.

Qualifications

• North American mining experience required.
• Minimum 6 years in heavy industrial design/layout (EPCM preferred).
• Experience in mining-related projects advantageous.
• Familiar with design standards and engineering codes.

Responsabilités

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team on mining projects.
• Produce mechanical layouts and plant designs using Bentley/MicroStation/OpenPlant AutoCAD.
• Extract drawings from 3‑D models and check for accuracy.
• Manage budgets, schedules and deliverables for layout work.
• Mentor and supervise junior designers and coordinate with client representatives.
