JDS Energy & Mining is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to support project managers with open pit and underground mine engineering, design, planning, and operating and capital cost estimation for multiple projects, including NI 43-101 studies.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and clear communication with clients, while mentoring junior staff in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in open pit and underground mining studies including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, and detailed design.
• Ability to prepare mining CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies (scoping to NI 43-101 reports).
• Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with procurement.
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff and present findings to clients.
