Job summary

JDS Energy & Mining Inc. in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to support project managers across open pit and underground mine engineering, design, planning, and cost estimation.

The role spans desktop studies to NI 43-101 compliant technical reports, technical reviews, and operational assistance. The Senior Mining Engineer will lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and present findings to diverse audiences, embracing practical, ethical, and safety standards while delivering

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies, including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and NI 43-101 technical reports
• Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with mining equipment procurement
• Prepare technical specifications based on input received from other disciplines
• Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports within areas of expertise
• Design mine infrastructure, ventilation systems, backfill systems, and mining services
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff
• Present and communicate findings in a concise manner to a wide range of audiences and clients
• Self-reliant and adaptable to change

Job description

Senior Mining Engineer

The Senior Mining Engineer will support Project Managers by completing open pit and underground mine engineering, design, planning, and operating and capital cost estimation. The Senior Mining Engineer will be assigned to a multitude of projects, including technical studies ranging from desktop studies to NI 43-101 compliant technical reports, technical project and due diligence reviews, and operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities
